A Master Planned Hogan Homes Community in Corpus Christi, Texas

Terra Mar

FAQ

  • How is Terra Mar different from other neighborhoods?

Created by a premier Corpus Christi home builder, Terra Mar is the first master planned development on the Corpus Christi waterfront, offering you a tranquil lifestyle combined with well-built, energy efficient homes – all in a uniquely beautiful area of the Coastal Bend Region. You’ll also enjoy the convenience of our highly centralized location.

  • Where are the hike and bike trails?

Current trails meander through Los Vientos, Monte Verde, San Cristobal and along the coastline at San Sebastian. We've expanded our original hike and bike trail three times since we first opened, and have acquired land for connection of the current trail in Los Vientos to that of the one in Monte Verde. More are on the way.

  • I heard that Corpus Christi's new regional city park will be close by?

Yes, and Hogan Homes was actually instrumental in building community support to create the 160 acre Regional Park. Envisioned as a conservancy habitat featuring open spaces, nature trails, beaches and wetlands, the park will offer a multitude of recreation opportunities. Hike and bike trails, playground areas, a kayak launch, birding observation platform, an amphitheater and interpretive nature center are all in the works.

  • The street light poles look different. What was behind this?

Terra Mar has more street lights than other neighborhoods and they are positioned much closer together. The light poles are also constructed out of concrete so that they would maintain a clean appearance and not be littered with advertisements. Our goal was to have well lit streets for the enjoyment and security of our homeowners.

  • The streets seem wider than other neighborhoods, are they?

In many areas of Terra Mar they are. It was all part of our plan of giving people more open space and breathing room.

  • Are the city's new baseball and sports complexes nearby?

Yes they are. At the perimeter of the city park on Holly Rd. there is a new hike and bike trail that connects Terra Mar to the new ball fields – further supporting the recreational atmosphere of Terra Mar.

  • What are the benefits of living in a neighborhood with a POA?

The most important benefit is that the management and maintenance of your community is overseen by a special architectural committee – so accountability is very high. A Property Owner's Association also ensures that agreed-to covenants and restrictions are observed, keeping your neighborhood nice while protecting the value of your home.
